Traumatic Dental Injuries
Impact injuries that occur to the teeth and/or other soft and hard tissues within and surrounding the oral cavity are known as traumatic dental injuries (TDIs).
Over one billion people are affected with TDIs placing it as the fifth most prevalent condition worldwide.
The practitioner information sheet on this special topic provides information on (TDIs), in detail, particularly the burden of TDIs, aetiology of TDIs, type of teeth and injuries involved in TDIs, and the management and prevention of TDIs.
