Automated External Defibrillator installed in AHMS foyer

Automated External Defibrillator on the wall in the ground floor foyer of the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building

Adelaide Health Simulation has installed an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in the foyer of the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS) building.

The AED is located near the western entrance of the building, close to the lift.

Adelaide Health Simulation is an accredited Advanced Life Support (Level 1 and 2) provider. If you would like to discuss resuscitation training for you and your team, please contact Adam Montagu, Director, Adelaide Health Simulation.

The early provision of chest compressions and the use of an AED can nearly double the chance of survival from a cardiac arrest. Would you know what to do?

The University of Tasmania's Shock Verdict (external link) hopes to inspire Australians to save a life by calling 000, providing lifesaving chest compressions and using an AED. Watch the Shock Verdict (external link) video to learn more.
