Dr Toby Gilbert
Artificial intelligence in clinical practice
Dr Toby Gilbert is the Head of General Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and a general medicine consultant with keen interests in improving the health care system and how artificial intelligence can benefit clinical practice. He recently led a pilot project that focused on providing patients with physician assessments earlier in the patient hospital journey to improve outcomes for both the patient and hospital.
Professor Rajvinder Singh
Artificial intelligence in GI: rise of the machine
Professor Rajvinder Singh is a Professor of Medicine with the University of Adelaide and the Director of Gastroenterology at the Lyell McEwin and Modbury hospitals. Professor Singh has extensive experience in the detection and treatment of early cancer/polyps in the entire Gastro Intestinal Tract using numerous ‘new/novel’ Endoscopic Imaging modalities. He has published more than 100 articles in peer reviewed publications and has to date lectured in more than 100 invited forums internationally.
Professor Gustavo Carneiro
Artificial intelligence in medicine
Professor Gustavo Carneiro is a Professor of the School of Computer Science at the University of Adelaide, an ARC Future Fellow, and the Director of Medical Machine Learning at the Australian Institute of Machine Learning. Professor Carneiro has focused his research on the development and application of computer vision and machine learning techniques, with particular emphasis on medical image analysis problems.
Ms Tina Hardin
Artificial intelligence and health data
Tina Hardin is the Executive Director of Clinical Informatics at the Commission of Excellence and Innovation in Health, and has worked for almost 20 years as a future thinking data analyst with a passion for using data and technology to inform excellence in clinical care. She has led a range of business intelligence related projects.
Dr Terry Sweeney
Artificial intelligence and digi-health
With over 22 years global industry experience, Dr Terry Sweeney's industry insights are in regular demand from international governments, healthcare organisations, public forums and media outlets, and is a strategic advisor to a number of global organisations, including the G20. Dr Sweeney is the Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre (DHCRC), the world’s largest digital health collaborative.
