Whether through bold industry collaborations, or supporting valuable philanthropic causes, the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is committed to community engagement in pursuit of common goals.
Our rich network of staff, students, titleholders, alumni, donors and partners play a key role in helping us realise our vision.
We collaborate with business, industry and government to translate knowledge and deliver real world benefits. We engage with our partners in a variety of ways to help them achieve their goals and objectives, and apply our research to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Our teaching spaces and research facilities include the state-of-the-art Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS) building, Adelaide Health Simulation, Ray Last Laboratories and medical museums. We also provide services to external parties.
Our alumni live and work all over the world, making significant contributions in the fields of dentistry and oral health, medicine, psychology, nursing and health sciences. As an active member of this group, you will have the ability to stay connected with your university community and fellow graduates throughout your life.
Gender equity and diversity
At the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, we’re actively working to achieve equal opportunity and representation across genders, and to support cultural diversity—for you, us, and our community. Our Gender Equity and Diversity Committee (GEDC) encourages positive change.
Through philanthropy, we are working towards improving health for current and future generations. The Florey Medical Research Foundation is based within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and raises funds for postgraduate research scholarships and early-career postdoctoral research fellowships within the medical degree.
