Reports
Community consultation reports
Community consultations were held by AKction 1 in Adelaide, Port Augusta and Ceduna. These enabled Aboriginal kidney patients, families and community members to attend and share what was working well and what could be improved in kidney care, health education and prevention programs. This information was then written into a detailed report, and a two-page community report in collaboration with Kidney Health Australia. These were then shared with community members, local health services and state-wide kidney care services. Each report was then sent to KHA-CARI who are coordinating the writing of new national clinical guidelines for Indigenous kidney care. The reports were also presented to Federal Minister Ken Wyatt who funded the national consultations, as evidence of the work being undertaken with community members across Australia.
