Clare Medical Centre

A Typical Semester

The Clare program operates in block rotations.  You will be ‘based’ at General Practices (including in nearby Snowtown, Burra and Spalding) providing exposure to vast range of varied experiences.  Students will be rostered to approximately 5 clinical sessions a week with a supervising doctor. During this time students will undertake parallel consulting.  Students will also go to Pt Augusta for a 9 week paediatric and O&G rotation.

GPs have various specialisations including anaestics, surgery, obstetrics and women's health. Students have lots of opportunities to practise their suturing skills and the opportunity to be rostered for on call duties.
