Rural Programs

The Rural Clinical School teaches into Medicine and Health Sciences degrees and also provides support for other disciplinary programs within The University of Adelaide. These programs are listed below. We also provide assistance for programs offered by other universities who send students to our region.

Not all programs that we support are available at every learning centre. To see which programs, described below, are on offer in each learning centre please navigate to the specific Rural Site and from there you can navigate to the programs on offer at the site. Each learning centre is different and contributes a specific flavour to the programs running at the rural site.

Rural Medicine Medical students can undertake rural placements and research via a variety of programs. We are always looking to extend these placements to new sites and to introduce new rural programs where we can.

Rural Nursing Nursing students from a variety of universities may undertake placements in the learning centre sites managed by the Rural Clinical School.

Rural Allied Health A variety of programs from a variety of tertiary institutions utiltise facilities at our learning centres.
