Dr Agathe Jadczak and Professor Renuka Visvanathan have published the first paper for the Frailty In Residential Sector over Time (FIRST) Study. The FIRST Study is investigating the health of residents living in residential aged care services in South Australia. The study examines the change in frailty status and associated health outcomes.

Unyime Jasper Meets Professor Brian Dolan
Our PhD student Unyime Jasper started 2021 by having a chat with Prof Brian Dolan, Honourary Professor of Leadership in Healthcare at the University of Salford, Oxford. Professor Dolan generously shared his vast knowledge, experience and passion. Unyime is is a physiotherapist and is in the final year of his PhD researching sedentary behaviour in hospitalised older people.

Dr Azmeraw Amare and Professor Renuka Visvanathan have published a study with Dr Maria Inacio and The Registry of Senior Australians on a contemporary population-based assessment of the prevalence, trends and factors associated with mental health disorders in individuals who are living in permanent residential aged care in Australia.
