PhD completed with Dean's commendation

Beatriz completed her PhD and received a Dean’s commendation for her thesis titled:

Built Environment and Frailty: Understanding the influence of neighbourhood on older people’s health.

Dr Martins is a geriatrician originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2016 she was awarded the Beacon of Enlightenment PhD Scholarship, Nagoya University Joint Award (University of Adelaide) and was supervised by Professor Renuka Visvanathan and Dr Helen Ruth Barrie.

Dr Martins has moved to Melbourne for a medical placement at the Austin Hospital.
