Social and Cultural Dynamics

Research on Social and Cultural Dynamics investigates the influences of social interactions and cultural contexts on individual and collective beliefs, behaviours, and practices.

Research on Social and Cultural Dynamics investigates the influences of social interactions and cultural contexts on individual and collective beliefs, attitudes, behaviours, and practices.

We explore how people make sense of, influence, and are influenced by a range of social settings or interpersonal relationships, including pairs of people, small groups or families, communities, and global online environments.

Research topics include forgiveness, justice, the impact of societal structures and ideologies, body image, health behaviours and beliefs, misinformation and persuasion, and the expression, perception, and experience of emotions.

We collaborate with a wide variety of community groups, organisations, and policy makers to improve people's wellbeing and resilience and to support social cohesion.
