Associate Professor Stacie Attrill

Interim Head of School

Stacie's primary research interests are in health workforce development and systems design for service provision, health professional education, and learning outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse students. Stacie also leads several research projects investigating health professional service outcomes for people who are culturally and linguistically diverse, and she is currently exploring the experiences of culturally and linguistically diverse health professionals in Australia.

Stacie's clinical research explores mealtime experiences for people with swallowing difficulties. She has a particular interest in how people make decisions about the care they receive, and she applies this to research about the decisions that people with neurodegenerative conditions make about their swallowing and communication.

Stacie offers higher degree research supervision in allied health practice and health professions education projects and has a specific interest in allied health workforce planning for diverse communities where she leads several projects. Stacie also offers supervision for projects in clinical education, rehabilitation, and adult acquired communication and swallowing disorders. She has successfully supervised HDR students to completion, and is currently working with health practitioners from a variety of disciplines across clinical and education research. Stacie welcomes opportunities to investigate research areas that reflect the needs and interests of the health professional community.
