"Bridging the Gap using DCEA as a method to promote health equity in decision making"
In the first hOurHTA webinar, we explored the importance of developing an explicit qualitative value-based framework and that factors such as equity and value of knowing prognosis or diagnosis should be incorporated into decision-making. In this webinar, we will dive into how equity impacts could be quantified using Distributional Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (DCEA).
Dr Jackie Roseleur (Research Fellow, College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University) provides an overview of inequity and introduce the basic concepts of DCEA. Following this, Dr Anita Lal (Senior Research Fellow, School of Health and Social Development, Deakin University) speaks on practical applications of DCEA in the Australian context.
Moderated by Arlene Vogan (Team Leader in Health Economics, AHTA).
