Available Resources, Platforms & Technology

At ACE we are fortunate enough to have access to cutting edge equipment and facilities.

This includes specialised PC2 and tissue culture facilities, high powered computing technologies to allow for high throughput data processing and analysis and the expertise and innovation of the Single Cell and Spatial-Omics Lab which has access to the leading Single Cell and Spatial analysis equipment.

Some of the ACE Resources, Platforms and Technologies available include:

Equipment Description
Agilent 5200 fragment analyser The 5200 Fragment Analyzer system performs DNA and RNA quality control (QC) for a broad range of samples, including gDNA, small RNA, cfDNA, large DNA fragments, total RNA, and mRNA. The diversity of sample types that these systems can separate make these instruments ideal for individualized workflows, including library QC for next generation sequencing (NGS) and mRNA integrity analysis in mRNA vaccine production workflows.
MGI DNBSEQ-G50 sequencing facilities The DNBSEQ-G50 is a benchtop genetic sequencer. It supports a wide range of research and clinical applications such as low-pass whole genome sequencing, targeted sequencing, small whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing and whole exome sequencing, etc.
10X Chromium Chromium Single Cell Gene Expression provides single cell transcriptome 3' gene expression and multi-omic capabilities to profile tens of thousands of cells.
10X Visium Visium Spatial Gene Expression is a next-generation molecular profiling solution for classifying tissue based on total mRNA. Map the whole transcriptome with morphological context in FFPE or fresh frozen tissues to discover novel insights into normal development, disease pathology, and clinical translational research.
10X Xenium Through a  collaboration with SAGC, we have full access to the Xenium instrument. The Xenium instrument is a state-of-the-art single cell spatial imaging platform that enables high-throughput subcellular mapping of 100s to 1,000s of RNA targets alongside multiplexed protein in the same tissue section.
GeoMx Spatially profile the whole transcriptome and 570+ protein targets separately or simultaneously from your choice of sample inputs: whole tissue sections, tissue microarrays (TMAs), or organoids.
CosMx CosMx is a high-plex in situ analysis platform that provides spatial multiomics with formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) and fresh frozen (FF) tissue samples at cellular and subcellular resolution. CosMx enables rapid quantification and visualization of up to 6,000 RNA and 64 validated protein analytes.

In addition, as we are located within the AHMS building in the Adelaide Biomedicine hub we have access to a whole range of additional shared equipment and facilities.
