2023 Stakeholder engagement event
The Palliative Care Research Collaboration, led by A/Prof Jaklin Eliott, held its Stakeholder Engagement Event on the 12th October 2023 at the University of Adelaide. This event brought together clinicians, consumers, policy makers, researchers, and representatives of community organisations, all of whom are committed to improving palliative care for South Australians.
A Panel Q&A session discussed the challenges facing service provision in South Australia, strategies for building relationships and sharing information with communities, and how further improvements could be made for improving access to and delivery of palliative care.
Associate Professor Ann Dadich and Professor Caroline Laurence led an interactive workshop on Co-designing Future Palliative Care Models for Under-served Populations. Attendees engaged in group discussions to identify enablers and barriers to accessing palliative care, as well as contribute ideas for future models of care. The information collected from our stakeholders will contribute towards this research program’s workforce planning project.
