Consumer Advocates

The exchange of experience, knowledge and expertise between patient advocates and the research team is an important aspect of the success of our breast and prostate cancer research program.

DRMCRL researchers value the perspectives of consumer advocates in all aspects of our research program, from conception to dissemination of findings.

The DRMCRL engages with consumer advocates (cancer survivors and community supporters e.g. Riverland Living to Beat Cancer), who participate in research / laboratory events and meet with our researchers regularly. Our consumer advocates contribute to the development of new research projects, especially ones that they have deemed a high priority to improve patient outcomes.
