Ellie Davies

Ellie Davies

Ellie is an experienced Registered Nurse, early career researcher and educator who has worked across emergency settings, primary health care settings and in mental health services. Her research interests include best practice assessment in tertiary mental health services and recovery-oriented, person-centred care. Since registering as a nurse, she has continued to pursue higher education, completing graduate diplomas in emergency nursing, addiction and mental health, a certificate in counselling and psychotherapy and is nearing completion of her PhD. Ellie is now working as a lecturer in the Adelaide Nursing School at the University of Adelaide

Adam Montagu

Adam Montagu

Associate Professor Adam Montagu is the Director of Adelaide Health Simulation at the University of Adelaide. Prior to working within the tertiary education sector, Adam practiced as a Registered Nurse within adult emergency departments. Adam is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). Adelaide Health Simulation is the only SSH accredited healthcare facility in Australia for excellence in learning and teaching. Throughout his clinical and academic career Adam has been an advocate of patient safety culture, interprofessional learning and simulation as a teaching tool. He views debriefing in a safe space as a valuable tool for novice and expert clinicians alike.

Andrea Hellmanns

Andrea Hellmanns

Andrea Hellmanns is a simulation coordinator at the University of Adelaide's Adelaide Health Simulation and a senior Registered Nurse. Prior to joining the University, Andrea worked at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Emergency Department. There she developed a passion for emergency nursing in the critical care environment and went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing.

Vivienne Leigh

Vivienne Leigh

Viv is a Registered Nurse with a clinical background in both general and cardiothoracic intensive care unit (ICU) nursing. Viv worked predominantly in Sydney before moving to Adelaide in 2018. She has a varied educational background that encompasses education, microbiology and nursing and has recently completed a master degree that looked at the effectiveness of pharmacology intervention for the treatment of hyperactive delirium in the postoperative cardiac surgical patient admitted into ICU.
