If you’re looking for a pathway to becoming a registered nurse, there’s the Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Clinical Nursing. If you’re already a registered nurse, and would now like to specialise in a particular area, we have a range of graduate diplomas for you to consider. Or, if you’re keen to pursue a career in research, we also offer PhD and master’s degrees.

State-of-the-art facilities

Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS) building

The School of Nursing is located within the $246 million AHMS building. Conveniently situated in the heart of Adelaide's BioMed City precinct adjacent the Royal Adelaide Hospital and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), the AHMS brings together more than 1700 students and 600 health researchers in a vibrant and innovative environment of learning and discovery.

Adelaide Health Simulation

Adelaide Health Simulation provides practical training for health professionals and students, using advanced technology to simulate medical and surgical emergencies, and teach critical decision-making. Our approach provides a safe, comfortable and well-supported learning environment, with mentoring from highly respected educators.

Scholarship opportunities

The University offers a number of scholarships to potential and currently enrolled undergraduate and postgraduate students, and there are also many others funded by industry and non-profit organisations.

It’s an experience that could open the way for you to engage in cross or in-discipline collaboration with top researchers the world over.

Study overseas

As an Adelaide Nursing School student, you’ll have the opportunity to study overseas through study tours in Asia and Europe. For example, as a Level 3 nursing student, you can travel to Germany and Austria, Singapore or Japan, to take part in clinical placements/observations. From sports and hobbies to politics and culture, the University of Adelaide has a wide range of student clubs for you to consider. As a nursing student, however, you may find the Adelaide Nursing Students’ Society of particular interest.
