The COTR team members have discussed in this paper the differences observed between Schatzker fracture types beyond fracture location, medial fractures commonly extending to aspects of lateral plateau, underlying variability relating to fragment volume within specific Schatzker types, and the capacity for further refinement of Schatzker system to capture underlying differences across and within fracture types.
