iLab aims to enhance confidence, and reflectiveness in approaching mental health crises in young people.
iLab offers an opportunity for trainees and clinicians to practice psychiatric interviewing and assessment skills in a safe, simulated environment. The lab is attended by surrogate patients coached in detailed recreations of child, adolescent, and family psychiatric concerns. Our program is typically run in a small group format, and the teaching space is equipped with a full-wall one-way screen to provide an immersive experience for all trainees. HD video recording coupled with computer based tagging software allow for on-the-fly analysis and feedback for participants.
