Speech Pathology

The Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) program at the University of Adelaide aims to produce graduates ready and responsive for the dynamic and expanding fields of contemporary Speech Pathology practice.

Our program is founded on values of cultural responsiveness, interprofessional learning and practice and evidence-based practice that are embedded across the curriculum and represent key graduate outcomes.

Combining a programmatic and innovative curriculum framework with a theoretically grounded and practice-centred approach, our students develop the knowledge, skills and attributes for communication and swallowing practice. They also develop the critical skills to collaborate with, and provide strong advocacy for, individuals, communities and the speech pathology profession.

Our students have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of research and industry projects, furthering their understanding of the field and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices. This also ensures our graduates are equipped to address complex issues with innovative and well-informed solutions.

Speech pathology students are supported by a team of highly regarded academics who provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to students. Coupled with our purpose built state-of-the-art facilities, ensure our graduates are compassionate and highly competent speech pathologists.
