HDA Women's Excellence in Research Award winner 2021

Congratulations to Dr Zohra Lassi our HDA Women’s Excellence in Research Award winner for 2021.

Dr Zohra Lassi is a NHMRC Early Career Research Fellow within the Robinson Research Institute at the University of Adelaide.

Zohra is an epidemiologist, recognised internationally for her work identifying interventions to improve reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition in disadvantaged and at-risk population particularly those in low- and middle-income countries, by advancing knowledge in public health practice.

Zohra’s research program aims to improve children and adolescent health recognising that this is a critical life stage for the development of healthy behaviours over the life course (and for optimising pre-conception health). Zohra has taken part in several international collaborative work in generating and synthesising evidence-based interventions to improve the health of children and adolescents.

This HDA award is to recognise and celebrate excellence of research achievement by women working in the field of developmental health, and to raise awareness of and support career development for women mid-career researchers.

Zohra will be awarded $1,000 and receive a certificate when she presents her research at a HDA event later this year.
