Higher Degree by Research Scholarships Available in the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2009

A.  Full Scholarships

The University of Adelaide and the Faculty of Health Sciences offer a number of research scholarships to support PhD students and Masters by Research students.
The scholarships are valued at approx $20,000 p.a. for three years (PhD students) and two years (Masters students).  Applicants for full scholarships must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.  The closing date for full scholarship applications is 31 October 2009.

B.  Divisional Scholarships

In recent years the University has introduced a practice of providing a number of Divisional Scholarships to help attract full-time, domestic higher degree by research students.  Any student already enrolled will not be eligible.  The scholarships are valued at approx $20,000 p.a. for three years (PhD students) and two years (Masters students). Applicants for full scholarships must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. A Divisional Scholarship provides half of the scholarship funding centrally (currently $10,000 p.a.) on the condition that matching funding can be guaranteed by departments/supervisors for up to 3 years.

Prospective postgraduate students are directed to the Research Interests section of individual Academic Staff members in this website for potential areas of interest for Higher Degree by Research projects and make contact with an Academic Staff in the appropriate area of research.
