Information for supervisors of prospective or current Higher Degree by Research students (PhD, M Med Sc)

Guidelines and Information

The FHS has developed the following documents:

• Guidelines and Strategies to assist timely HDR Completions
• Recommended Corrections to Thesis following Examination for Supervisors
• Scholarships for International Students

Also there have been changes to the Rules governing PhD, Research Masters, Professional doctorates, and higher doctorates that have been approved by the Academic Board and advised by Professor Richard Russell, Dean of Graduate Studies.

Formal Requirements

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) research proposal proforma is to be used by Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students when preparing their research proposals within the Core component of the Structured Program.

The FHS also requires a Gantt Chart  to be used in planning during candidature to assist HDR students and their supervisors in setting appropriate timelines and milestones.
