Welcome and congratulations for considering a career in health sciences. If you are interested in science with a human touch then the Bachelor of Health Sciences is the program for you.

The overall aim of the Bachelor of Health Sciences program is to produce graduates who are committed to advancing knowledge of health and disease and improving the health of the public.

The program offers an extensive choice of courses that focus on human health and healthy communities in Medical Sciences (Anatomical Sciences, Exercise Science, Neurosciences, Nutrition, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Reproductive Health), Public Health and Psychology.

There is also flexibility to match core courses in health with other areas of interest in science, humanities, social science, mathematics, computer science, business and economics.

Our graduates are equipped to pursue careers in many different areas of the rapidly expanding and changing health industry within Australia and internationally. The Bachelor of Health Sciences provides graduates with knowledge and skills that compliment the worldwide trend towards a more integrated and multidisciplinary approach to health care. Depending on the choice of stream (Medical Sciences, Public Health, Psychology) within the program, graduates will have the capacity to work in a variety of health settings including industry, business, government, academia, and the community or to pursue professional postgraduate programs in medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, chiropractic and other health professions.
