Higher Degree by Research (PhD and Masters) 

Domestic Students

Information for citizens or permanent residents of Australia or citizens of New Zealand:-

 International Students

Students wishing to study for a PhD or Masters degree who are not citizens or permanent residents of Australia or citizens of New Zealand must enrol through the University as an International Student.

International Scholarships
The closing date for the next round of IPRS and ASI international scholarships (for enrolment in 2010) is 31 August 2009. It is strongly recommended that all applicants submit their applications and all required documentation well before the closing date.

Adelaide Graduate Fee Scholarships (AGFS) for 2009 (mid-year Scholarship round)
For eligible international candidates currently enrolled at the University of Adelaide or who have completed a program at the University in 2008 and who meet the entry requirements for admission into a research program (Masters by Research or Doctor of Philosophy) to commence in July 2009.  5 scholarships are available, including full tuition fees for the normal duration of the program, and an annual living allowance.  AGFS applications closed on 15 May 2009.

Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) for 2009 (mid-year Scholarship round)
For up to 10 outstanding international students from any country with First Class Honours or equivalent, commencing a research degree in any academic discipline in July 2009.  ASI applications (complete with English Language Proficiency requirements) closed on 15 May 2009.

Postgraduate Travel Support (for domestic and international HDRs)

A limited amount of travel support is available on a competitive basis for HDR students (preferably enrolled at the University in their third year of candidature or part-time equivalent) to present their findings at an international conference overseas and to visit an institution for the purposes outlined.

Services

Postgraduate students Faculty-wide and in our affiliate institutions have access to Statistical Support during their candidature.  HDR candidates also have free access to download the excellent Prism statistics and graphics software program (UoA email address required).
