Following are various health science projects for PhD and Masters study in 2009 (some of which may have scholarships attached). The HDR projects can be undertaken in one of the six Schools in the Faculty, in a Centre/Institution or an affiliated institution.

In addition the Bone & Joint Research Laboratory has a number of PhD projects available, including: *The role of cortical bone in fragility fracture; *The role of bone in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis, *The role of the osteocytic cell network in bone remodelling; *The role of bone architecture and bone mineralisation in determining bone strength; *Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis and fat. The School of Medicine PhD, MSc (& Honours) Postgraduate Research Projects for 2009 (pdf 1MB) incorporating the Disciplines of: Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Medicine, Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Orthopaedics and Trauma, Surgery and Psychiatry.
Research in the School covers a broad spectrum of interests. Supervisors of the listed research projects are drawn from both staff and affiliates of the School located at The Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Hanson Institute in the city and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Basil Hetzel Institute at Woodville.

The Research Centre for Reproductive Health (Various Projects)
Disciplines and Units within the School of Population Health & Clinical Practice include:-
General Practice, Nursing, Public Health, Rural Health (The Spencer Gulf Rural Health School), the Medicine, Learning and Teaching Unit (MLTU) and the Centre for Military and Veterans’ Health (CMVH).
The School has a range of areas on offer for Postgraduate Research Projects (pdf 521kB) in 2009.
Most of the projects listed are available with the support of a scholarship to eligible candidates.
The School of Psychology has staff and students undertaking research in its Brain & Cognition Group; Health, Disability and Lifespan Development Research Group and Social & Organisational Research Unit.
