Disciplinary orientation:
Epidemiology, Environmental Health

Areas of Interest:
Infectious disease epidemiology, hospital infection control, environmental epidemiology, population health and international health

Current projects:

Climate change and its impact on population health
Defining the local ecology of Ross River virus infections as a basis for risk assessment and better prevention strategies in Australia
Air pollution, weather and health outcomes
Needle stick injuries among healthcare staff, and control

Teaching:
Peng co-ordinates Epidemiology of Infectious Disease for MPH students and Public Health Sciences II for Bachelor of Health Sciences students. He also participates in the teaching of Introduction of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health for MPH students, Epidemiology for medical students. Peng currently supervises PhD students in the areas of infectious diseases epidemiology and environmental epidemiology.
