Psychology Research Interests

My PhD investigated a general theory of addiction which more specifically examined the area of problem gambling. Following from this I am particularly interested in the areas of trauma, dissociation, emotional regulation and impaired control. I also have a keen interest in the protective/buffering factors against the development of problem gambling.

As a practicing psychologist I have a broad research interest in adult psychological disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety and addiction, and therapy modalities such as cognitive-behaviour therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
