Corinna was awarded her BHealthSci (Hons) by the University of Adelaide in 1995, and following a brief period as a neuropathology research technician in the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science, completed her PhD on the response of amyloid precursor protein following traumatic brain injury at the University of Adelaide in 1999. She subsequently was appointed as an associate lecturer in the Department of Pathology, and was promoted to lecturer in 2000. Her research interests are in the early response of genes and proteins to traumatic brain and spinal cord injury using immunocytochemistry and specialised molecular pathological techniques. Her current research focusses on the neuroprotective properties of cyclosporin A, magnesium sulphate and soluble amyloid precursor protein (APP) in traumatic brain injury, using a number of immunocytochemical markers of injury.
