Dr Moore was awarded a BAppSc (Medical Technology) in 1980 before joining the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science (IMVS) as a Medical Scientist. in 1988, he obtained a MAppSc (Medical Laboratory Science) and was subsequently promoted within the IMVS to Senior Medical Scientist in 1990 and again in 1992 to Senior Medical Scientist (with excellence). His PhD (Medicine) on the Vascularisation of the intervertebral disc in pathological conditions was conferred in 1996 whereupon he was promoted to Senior Medical Scientist (with excellence) supervising the Bone Laboratory and Immunohistochemistry Laboratory which is the position he currently holds. Dr Moorehas been involved with the teaching of Histopathology at the University of South Australia since 1983 and the teaching of Introductory Medicine at the University of Adelaide since 1996.He also has supervised numerous undergraduate student projects.
