Dr Finnie was awarded his BSc (Hons) in 1972 before completing his BVSc in 1975. He went on to obtain his MSc from Adelaide and from Flinders in 1983 and 1986 respectively before completing his PhD at the University of Melbourne in 1990. He was employed as a Veterinary Pathologist from 1976 before he became a lecturer at Flinders University in 1989. In 1991 he held the position of Senior Veterinary Pathologist with Central Veterinary Laboratories. He joined the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science in 1997 as Senior Veterinary Pathologist. John's research interests are Clostridium perfringens, tunicamycin/corynetoxin poisoning and traumatic head injury. |
