Medical Student Electives Information

The Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital accepts medical students for paediatric clinical electives of 4 - 8 weeks, from the beginning of November until the end of January each year.

Minimum requirements for acceptance include proof of the following:

• The student has passed the basic paediatric course of their medical school
• Current Immunisation
• Student professional indemnity

Please Note: No electives are offered in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

We do not take any student directly where the elective would fulfil credit requirements of their medical school. Students would need to apply to the University of Adelaide, Faculty of Health Sciences.

We do not accept University of Adelaide Students.
