Undergraduate Program

The Discipline of Paediatrics is at the Women's and Children's Hospital campus of the Children, Youth and Women's Health Service. The Women's and Children's Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide.

The Discipline contributes to  teaching of medical undergraduates in the 2nd and 5th years of their MBBS course. In fifth year, medical students attend the Women's and Children's Hospital for a nine week period.

Students undertaking the MBBS degree have the opportunity to undertake the Honours Degree of Bachelor of Medical Sciences (HB.MedSc) program full-time after their 3rd year, before continuing into the 4th year of medicine. The program may also be undertaken part-time over two years, but MBBS students must seek approval to undertake part-time Honours concurrently with their medical degree. See the Honours Program for full details.
