Dr Bruce Heideman BSc(Hons), MBBS

Dr Bruce Heideman completed his undergraduate degree in Science at Monash University, graduating with first class Honours in Physiology in 1998.
He then moved to Sydney to undertake his medical degree, MBBS, at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2002.

Dr Heideman began his clinical career in Adelaide in 2003. He is currently a part-time Resident Medical Officer in Ophthalmology and undertaking a PhD with the South Australian Institute of Ophthalmology.

Research Interests

The current research project entails mapping the spaciotemporal sequence of neuro degeneration in experimental glaucoma. The project will include immunohistochemistry and electro physiology. Tthe scope of the mapping extends from the eye through to the lateral geniculate nucleus.
