Medical Student Elective

Christian Blind Mission

This is an elective of at least six weeks during which time a medical student is expected to work in an ophthalmology project.

The onus is on the medical student to find a suitable overseas ophthalmology project and undertake a small research project which will be suitable for publication.

Some suggested projects are:

1. St Joseph Eye Hospital, Tieruchirapalli in India

Selection for the elective will be in September of each year for the following year, and there is one elective per year to the value of AUD$3,000.
