Clinical/Research Glaucoma Fellowship

The Glaucoma Fellowship is under the supervision of Associate Professor Robert Casson and Dr Anna Galanopoulos at the South Australian Institute of Ophthalmology & Central Northern Ophthalmology Network in Adelaide, South Australia.

This position would involve an approximate 50:50 mix of research and clinical glaucoma, with one glaucoma-based operating session per fortnight and one glaucoma clinic per week, receiving one on one teaching. Opportunities exist for further theatre sessions (principally phaco) for a suitable candidate.

The Fellow will be involved with clinical and epidemiological glaucoma-based research and has the opportunity to be involved with glaucoma-based laboratory research if desired. It is envisaged that the Fellow would perform 15-20 filtration procedures over the course of the year and would be the author of multiple publications.

The Fellowship would be salaried and could conceivably be combined with a higher degree from the University of Adelaide.
