Research interestsI am interested in the control of fetal and placental growth and development. My research has focussed on the effects of restriction of placental growth, the effects of the insulin-like growth factors and nutrition on fetal growth. I am also interested in the different birth phenotypes resulting from altered fetal growth and how the setting of physiological control mechanisms before birth may predispose the individual to common adult diseases including high blood pressure.
