IVP Media Suite
The goal of IVF VET Solutions is to provide a comprehensive bovine IVP media solution that is superior to any alternative.
IVF VET Solutions has developed and manufactures a serum-free high efficacy media system designed to meet the metabolic needs of the oocyte and embryo. The consideration of critical events during IVM have led to the development of improved methodologies and media formulations which have been incorporated into IVF VET Solutions IVP Media Suite (see Figure 1), resulting in an increase in embryo yield. In studies this media has achieved blastocyst percentages approximately double the typical performance of this industry (see Figure 2).

Figure 1 IVF VET Solutions IVP Media Suite components.
In using the media, we have 2 systems: Standard and 2-Step.
Standard system involves a standard VitroMat - followed by use of the VitroFert, VitroWash, VitroCleave, and VitroBlast.
2-Step system involves a pre-IVM phase of around 0.5 hours (VitroCollect), followed by the Standard system.
The products included in the suite are;
-
VitroCollect (2 -Step) – for oocyte aspiration and incubation prior to maturation, used in the 2-Step system.
- Vitro-Mat (for both systems) - No Pre-IVM phase required. Easy to use, and provides high maturation quality.
- VitroWash (for both systems) – MOPS buffered medium for handling gametes and embryos in normal atmosphere
-
VitroFert (for both systems) – fertilisation medium
-
VitroCleave (for both systems) – cleavage stage medium, suitable for development up to day 5 (96 hours post-fertilisation) in bovine embryos
- VitroBlast (for both systems) – blastocyst development medium, suitable for development from day 5 to day 8 (96 to 168 hours post-fertilisation)
