Peter Athanasos

Peter Athanasos is the coordinator for the Graduate Diploma in Nursing Science (Mental Health Nursing).

He is in the final stages of a PhD in the Discipline of Pharmacology at the University of Adelaide.

Peter has published on mood disorders, addiction, chronic pain, opioid detoxification, opioid withdrawal hyperalgesia, vasodepressor syncope, cardiac effects of drug dependency, and the effects of analgesics on methadone and buprenorphine maintained patients.

He is a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse, has a BA in Psychology and Literature and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology.
