Take part in a fun inter-professional learning (IPL) challenge with other students from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and you could win a team prize of $1000!

The Health in Sync IPL challenge is open to all current undergraduate students in Psychology, Medicine, Dentistry, Oral Health, and Nursing.

On Friday 13 October, students from the different degrees will compete together in groups of four to respond to a health-related case study. The teams will be presented with the case on the day and will work together to construct a response that covers each of their team members' area of study and present their response to a panel of judges and fellow teams.

All students who participate will also be given a certificate for their professional portfolio.

What are the rules?

On Friday 13 October, students from the different degrees will compete together in groups of four to respond to a health-related case study. The teams will be presented with the case on the day and will work together to construct a response that covers each of their team members' area of study.

Each team will then give a 10 minute presentation of their response to a panel of judges and their fellow teams. The winning team will be awarded a certificate and $1000!

  • Teams can consist of four students from any year level of the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Oral Health and Bachelor of Psychological Science.
  • Only one student from each degree can be represented in each team.
  • Teams of three are acceptable.
  • Teams will be required to meet prior to the event to work on a test case.
  • Teams may ask staff for coaching support.

A further information session will be held to discuss the competition.

Information session:
An information session about the event will be held on Friday 15 September from 1.10−2.00pm in the Joseph Verco Lecture Theatre in the AHMS building.
