Medical Workforce Analysis Unit
The Medical Workforce Analysis Unit is a joint initiative of the Department of General Practice at the University of Adelaide and the Adelaide to Outback GP Training Program, a provider for vocational general practice training. The Unit was established in 2004 and its current Director is Ms Caroline Laurence and undertakes research into workforce issues at all levels of the medical training continuum.
The Medical Workforce Analysis Unit brings together a range of staff with expertise and experience in a number of areas including:
- Study design and methodology
- Survey design relating to workforce
- Statistical analysis
- Workforce modelling
- Content analysis/qualitative analysis
- Policy and program development
- Tender and grant writing skills
