6th Year SCAP

Dear Students

Welcome to the 6th Yr SCAP webpage.

Specialist, Community or Ambulatory Placements (SCAPs)

Students will undertake the following 6 week placements:

• Medicine or Surgery
• Primary Care
• Psychiatry

Students must take at least one rural-based SCAP (with the exemption of International students who are not required to do a rural placement unless they choose to).

Selection is from a pre-determined list of available SCAPs.

Common Program

The Common Program will be conducted on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm until 5pm in the Robson Lecture Theatre. It is a one semester program held during the Internship Semester. The program focuses on practical knowledge needed by interns.
