The work of the Foundation is undertaken at the direction of a Board of Management appointed jointly by Foundation Members, The University of Adelaide and the Australian Dental Association SA Branch. The membership of the 2008-2009 Board of Management is as follows:

SAFDER’s past Patrons have included Dr J.B. Day, world-renowned researcher Dr Graham Mount AM, the late Mr W.F. (Bill) Scammell CBE (former Chancellor of The University of Adelaide and Managing Director of Faulding Australia), and Professor W.R. (Rory) Hume (Adelaide graduate and current Provost at UCLA). The position is currently vacant.
