DENT 6038HO - Extra Oral Radiography C

DENT 6038HO - Extra Oral Radiography C is a 2 unit postgraduate course that is available for non-award study. This course is primarily aimed at dental auxiliaries requiring the skills to produce safely the extra-oral images associated with orthodontic practice: lateral cephalometric and hand-wrist films. Theory topics are supported by online resources include radiographic anatomy, image formation, equipment and patient management. Exercises in cephalometric tracing and age determination will also form part of the course. Students wishing to be licensed in their own state should contact the relevant government authority and may need access to supervised practice following the course. It is recommended that students also complete a course in panoramic radiography.
