Non-Award Study

What is Non-Award Study?

The School of Dentistry offers a range of short intensive (continuing education) courses and a semester-length course for study on a Non-Award basis. Non-award study is a good way to 'test the water' if you are considering a return to university study.  In the School of Dentistry Non-Award students are formally enrolled but are not doing a degree program. As a Non-Award student you may attend lectures and tutorials, online classes or laboratory sessions, and you are assessed. At the University of Adelaide you can obtain credit points toward the Graduate Certificate in Dentistry or the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry should you enrol in the future.  You may also be able to seek credit toward a dental qualification at another university.

Non-Award Study can:

  • broaden & upgrade your dental knowledge
  • assist you with applications for further study
  • assist with workforce entry
  • be credited toward an award program at some universities
