Dr Luke Selth – inaugural Rob Sutherland Award recipient
Dr Luke Selth from the DRMCRL was the inaugural Rob Sutherland Award recipient at\ this year’s PacRim meeting. This award, presented to an outstanding early/mid-career researcher, was the awarded by Rob Sutherland’s daughter and wife, Sarah and Cheryl Sutherland, at the PacRim Meeting Big Bash conference dinner at Seppeltsfield on last evening of the meeting.
Seven finalists were selected, from an international group of 16 candidates, by a panel of 9 international judges in the field of breast and prostate cancer to make a presentation in the Amgen sponsored Rob Sutherland Award session at the meeting. Selection was based on their submitted CV and abstract, with an emphasis on the quality and impact of their work to date in breast and/or prostate cancer biology and/or translational research.
