The
American Dermatoglyphics Association is a non-profit scientific and educational
organization with approximately 150 members throughout North America,
Central America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The mission
of the ADA is to encourage and advance the science and application of
dermatolgyphics, and to facilitate cooperation among the membership and
others with similar aims. As our logo indicates, applications of dermatoglyphic
studies encompass the fields of anthropology, medicine, primatology, law,
identification, embryology, and genetics.
Members who are willing to run for any association
office should submit their desires and which office to the current President
(Maciej Henneberg). Elections are
held every two years for two board members and President-elect, every
four years for Treasurer, and every six years for Newsletter Editor. Nominations
for Distinguished Service Award are solicited every year and the final
recipient is selected by the current officers and board members.
Articles
for the Newsletter, conference notices, technical reports or other items
for publication should be submitted to the Editor.
